Hey, lebele mass here, the main creator of the project and Co-founder of Boys in Bristol Photography. I have to tell you sad news:

This is the end of the Bristol Parks Project

Because of the lies and dishonest actions of the people From Bristol City Council that have destroyed my health, I will not be able to continue to run this project. Since 3 months after the case with Bristol City Council started, due to stress:

I developed psoriatic arthritis and was excluded from life and work. For the past 3 months, I can't even take pictures or walk because of the arthritis in my hands, spine and feet. I'm not working, I have mounting debts, and I'm continually ignored by everyone I've spoken to and tried to settle amicably. Two other people are living with me and the whole situation has taken its toll on them as well.

Photos of my new psoriasis skin symptoms:

I AM NOT ABLE TO WORK AND CANNOT AFFORD TO CONTINUE THE PROJECT. TO ALL INVOLVED, I AM VERY SORRY BUT WE STRUGGLED TO GET THE MATTER RESOLVED FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS AND IN THE END, WE WERE IGNORED AGAIN BY BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL STAFF. We sent letters to Citizen Advice, Shelter, Acorn Association and many other places over 4 weeks ago. No one has responded to us so far and is unwilling to help us.

HERE YOU CAN READ WHAT PROBLEMS WE HAD RENTING A FLAT FROM OUR LANDLORD FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS:

AFTER SPEAKING WITH A LAWYER I will MAKE AVAILABLE THE FULL STORY OF WHAT IS GOING ON WITH BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL.

In addition, my uncle (my mother's brother) has adjustment problems (after 10 years of working in factories he only knows very basic English) and is disabled. has been living in a council house for 12 years without heating (because there is no heating physically and never has been) For 8 years he has had no hot water (He had to wash himself by bringing himself heated water in plastic bottles), electric cables sticking out of the walls and much, much more.

For more than 5 years he has been waiting for a hip surgery that prevented him from working and for 5 years, he has been sitting at home on benefits instead of working.

For the past years, he has sat there alone, depressed, hardly leaving the house, swamped with bags of garbage. If we hadn't visited him and cleaned and cared for him, he would have lived in such conditions until now. This is how councils take care of residents.

IF ANYONE KNOWS A GOOD HOUSING LAWYER WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD RECOMMEND ONE TO US.

I AM VERY SORRY TO HAVE TO ASK THIS, BUT WE COULD USE SOME HELP RIGHT NOW.

We have helped many people and organizations charitably over the last 4 years and For the last two years, we have been doing this project for Bristol and for the community with our own money in our free time. We took and edited thousands of photos and videos of Bristol's parks, we created websites, We were giving free photography workshops, we held talks and lectures. We did this and much more related to the project in our spare time, working 7 days a week for almost 2 years.

You can read more about this here:

FOR YEARS WE WERE CARE ASSISTANTS IN NURSING HOMES, AND OUR PARTNERS AND THEIR FAMILIES CONTINUE TO WORK AS CARERS IN HOSPITALS OR in OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES. IN GRATITUDE FOR ALL THIS, OUR HEARTS AND HEALTH HAVE BEEN TRAMPLED.

Now we need Your help

IF ANYONE KNOWS A GOOD HOUSING LAWYER WE WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU COULD RECOMMEND ONE TO US.
